Our take
This adjustable dumbbell set caught my eye because of the square plate design, which is supposed to keep them from rolling. The assembly is straightforward – you load the plates onto the handle and tighten the nuts. However, the plates are only 5 lbs each, so the maximum weight is limited. The carbon steel feels sturdy, but the locking mechanism isn't the most secure, and I've had the plates loosen during use. For light to moderate workouts it's okay, but for heavier lifting I'd go with a more robust system. The square shape does help with stability, but overall it's a compromise on convenience and reliability.
