Our take
I tried the CAP Barbell 12-sided dumbbell, and the shape is a nice twist on the traditional hex. The 12 sides make it even more stable on the floor—no rolling at all. The coating feels durable, and the aluminum material keeps it from rusting. At $57.58 for a single 30 lb, it's comparable to other CAP offerings. The handle is smooth and comfortable. My only complaint is that it's not sold in pairs, so you'll need to buy two for a set. Also, the aluminum finish might scratch over time.
